I’m enjoying the site and trust you will get some great articles on character driven animation. However I am interested in the world physics animation as well. Water (Getting it to behave on cue), thrown objects, wind, prop interaction etc. How close do you aim for realistic physics? When do you feel its appropriate to ham it up.

I’d love to learn more about your in-house tools, especially Menv. Anyone from the programming/tools side of things would be fascinating, IMO.
Someone from character design would be great. I’m a big fan of Jason Deamer’s work.
If you could get Bud Luckey, that would be truly amazing. I aspire to be as creatively active as he is when I’m in my 70s.
And if you interviewed John Lasseter, well… my head just might explode.

Hey in addition to interviews with Animators, id also enjoy simple things such as what you like to do at Pixar on your free time specifically. For example if you have any specific “spots” at pixar you like, or you like to play the video games at the lounge.

I agree with that. I would like to hear about “the life at Pixar”. Like “a day at Pixar” from morning till evening.
I would love it if you talked a bit about how the artist like to work and what their work habits are, like when Ralph Eggleston said he listened to a specific music for Finding Nemo.

thanks for the great work.
as far as subjects for posts, here are a few ideas,
-Curves, what are they, how to use them to commnicate character emotions or physical attribute like weight.
-Perfection vs. Imperfection, should character animation be always perfect as far as arcs, slow in/slow outs, etc., or in an effort to make it more lifelike, one should build in a few imperfection?
-Force, internal and external

How about interviewing someone out on the fringe like Bill Plympton or Ralph Bakshi? I know they’re not CG but I’m sure they have something interesting to say.

How about Lee Unkrich? it be interesting to hear his perspective on animation and how he fits into everything at Pixar.
